As you may or may not know, I have recently accepted an invitation to be a Health and Community Development Worker in Kiribati for the Peace Corps. I will be leaving on August 3, 2008. This blog is intended to be a source of information about my work as well as a way of updating everyone on my time in the Peace Corps. Feel free to ask any questions in the comments and please leave me lovely messages to read when I get a chance to!

Please feel free to check out the links to other sites about the Peace Corps as well as my country of service.

I am likely to have access to internet and telephone 2-3 times a year, so this blog will mostly be updated by my wonderful boyfriend, Jason, who will summarize my letters, or type up something I send… we’ll play it by ear.

There is almost too much information to begin with here, so I will make posts as people ask questions.

Peace,

Sasha

Hi! I was searching for PCV blogs and found yours. I am leaving for Kiribati on August 3 for health and community development as well!! I am super stoked but also nervous. I hope that getting ready to leave is going well for you. I was really happy to read over your packing list. I was afraid I might bring the wrong stuff or too much! Anyways I think it would be really cool to get to know each other a bit before we left so please feel free to email me! If not that’s cool. Best of luck.
Thanks and I can’t wait to meet you,
    Dani
